Ovation forms On-Demand Partnership with The Broadway Channel

Ovation to Include Such Broadway Channel Programming as “Broadway Profiles” And “Broadway on Tour” for Ovation’s VOD and TVE Channels

 

NEW YORK AND SANTA MONICA, CA - December 19, 2011  Ovation, the only multi-platform channel dedicated to all forms of artistic expression, has entered into an on- demand programming partnership with The Broadway Channel, which produces and distributes content associated with Broadway and the theater world. The Broadway Channel is providing content to Ovation for its VOD and TVE (Television Everywhere) channels. The announcement was made today by Matt Hege, Vice President of The Broadway Channel and Allison Kingsley, Vice President of Digital Media Operations, Ovation.

“We are very pleased to announce our programming relationship with Ovation as we continue to raise the curtain on Broadway and Theater programming across the country,” said Hege. “This is a great opportunity to extend our digital reach and connect with a theater and art-loving audience.”

“This partnership provides Ovation with the ability to offer new and different content to our VOD and TVE audience,” noted Kingsley. “We are excited to be able to bring our viewers this window into the Broadway world.”

The Broadway Channel programming that will be offered via Ovation’s VOD and TVE channels includes:  “Broadway Previews,” “Broadway on Tour,” “Las Vegas Previews,” and the series “Broadway Profiles.”  In addition, Ovation will have access to The Broadway Channel’s short-form content, including Tony Awards coverage, Broadway opening nights and ongoing dress rehearsal coverage, as well as “What’s Hot on Broadway,” hosted by Broadway Channel’s Maribel Aber.

Ovation VOD is currently available via Comcast Cable in Chicago, Verizon, DirecTV, DISH, Insight, GCI Cable, Service Electric Cablevision, EPB of Chattanooga and Volcano Vision. Ovation programming is also featured on Comcast XFINITY and Dish TV Everywhere platforms.
